Sport related injury
Nicolas Bouguennec, Matthieu Ollivier, and Bertrand Sonnery Cottet examine three athletes with sports-related knee injuries. They then discuss the key elements to consider and the treatment strategy to adopt, whether conservative or prosthetic.
- A 21-year-old man with both knee dislocations following a car accident. While his left knee has been treated, his right knee occasionally remains painful, and he is still unable to run.
- A 26-year-old man with a knee injury during contact while playing American football four months ago.
- A 30-year-old professional rugby player played an entire season with a PCL injury before sustaining another injury and undergoing surgery.
